Company History

Quality Construction Since 1993

In 1993, Chanin Builders, Inc. was established focusing primarily on the single family custom home market, building homes in residential communities in Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette and Westminster, Colorado. The company expanded its focus in 1996, taking on multifamily projects in Denver. To date, Chanin Builders, Inc. has constructed over 800 residential units including single and multi-family projects.

By 1997, Chanin Development included land development in its portfolio and since has developed over 800 finished lots. Projects include a 270 unit mixed density residential community, a 233 unit high density residential mixed use adaptive redevelopment of an urban infill site, and a four unit single family detached urban in-fill project.

Leadership

Jim Chanin

Jim Chanin, Founder and President of Chanin Development Inc. has twenty nine years of diversified experience in the real estate industry encompassing land development, general contracting and home building. Prior to founding Chanin Development Inc. in 1993, Jim worked for Centex Homes, Inc. During his five-year tenure with Centex, he had the opportunity to work in many capacities within the company, gaining invaluable experience from the ground up that have been applied to his own real estate development and construction endeavors.

Jim is primarily responsible for all of Chanin Development Inc.’s real estate related activities, including finance, capital formation, land acquisition and management. Having worked with numerous municipalities in the processes of annexation, land planning, subdivision, entitlements, engineering and development of infrastructure, he is well versed in all aspects of land development and construction.

Permitting and Approvals

We handle all necessary permits and approvals, ensuring that the project complies with local building regulations and codes, saving our clients from the hassle and complexity of paperwork and legalities.

Construction Phase

Once all plans are finalized and approved, we begin the construction phase. Our dedicated project managers oversee the construction process, coordinating with skilled craftsmen and subcontractors to ensure that the work is executed with precision and on schedule.
